Gold futures closed lower in the domestic market on Thursday as some strength in the U.S. dollar and gains in the stock market dulled investor interest in the precious metal.
At the MCX, gold futures for April 2017 contract ended at Rs 29128 per 10 grams, down by 0.69 per cent, after opening at Rs 29,338 against a previous close of Rs 29,330. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 29,057.
